Ola donates his expertise to meaningful causes

01.09.2016

Ola Sundberg is a photographer from Sweden. The first time Ola volunteered to work for us was in 2015 at the Sisaket surgery mission in North Eastern Thailand. Before the mission, he also came with us to visit three of the patients in their homes and villages in the days before they were coming in for surgery. Ola and his wife, Verene Koller Sundberg, also participated in the Mae Hong Son surgery mission in February 2016, and in the Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar 2017 medical mission, where they both donated their expertise to Kids Action for Kids by documenting surgical missions with their photo and video cameras.

In Sweden, Ola has toured around and given presentations to spread awareness of Kids Action for Kids and its mission to help unprivileged children in Southeast Asia.

“I try to find things I can do to contribute to a better world, to help people less fortunate than myself. I think KAFK is a fantastic example of how much one can do if making the effort. KAFK has achieved amazing results and done so while educating youths that they can make a difference despite their young age. It was very touching to be a part of a surgery mission, to see these kids up close and personal. It gives a whole other impact than reading about similar situations, and it was, of course, rewarding to be able to contribute with something concrete, to feel that I could make a personal contribution with my skills.”
