Diem joined Sisaket mission in Thailand

01.09.2016

My name is Diem Vinci and I come from the US.

I traveled with KAFK to Sisaket surgery mission in North Eastern Thailand in late August 2015.  We stayed in Ubon for about a week, visiting some families first from the previous surgery mission. In the days of the actual surgeries in Sisaket Hospital, we helped facilitate gifts and care to the children and their families. We had an incredible time connecting with the families and young children in need of care, the level of love and support other members of KAFK provided these people was truly inspiring. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget!

My motivation to support KAFK comes from my close friendship with Haakon and the Brekke family and our shared passion to help make a positive impact in the lives of those who are less fortunate. The KAFK and its entire community are all amazing and selfless individuals who all strive to make this world a better place. I was very fortunate to meet people from all over the world who are active volunteers in this amazing organization and I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to work and interact with other members of the community. The trip was full of life changing emotionally filled moments that have had a profound impact on my life. I will never forget the countless tears of joy, hugs, and happiness that the success of the surgeries brought the people of Ubon. I will always cherish these timeless moments I was able to experience with KAFK and look forward to creating many more timeless moments in the future.

I’m more than happy to be a part of this amazing organization and I look forward to having a higher level of involvement in the months moving forward!

Much Love,
Diem
