These photos of medical missions illustrate the different venues for the Operation Smile medical missions that Kids Action for Kids sponsor. Here you can find photos from the screening day when the patients first come in, the hospital wards where the patients are admitted, taken care of and prepared for surgery, and the surgery itself.
The Kids Action for Kids volunteers appear in tasks such as keeping company to, guiding and entertaining patients, serving food, giving out smile-bags and other gifts or necessities, directing traffic (which stations to go to next), taking photos for registration etc.
Health screening, surgeries and after care are conducted by local hospitals’ personnel and Operation Smile professional medical volunteers.
