Meena contributes her Language Skills for missions in her home town, Pyin Oo Lwin.
My name is Meena Lama and I am Burmese-Nepalese living in Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar. I am very, very happy that KAFK has come with Operation Smile to my town, Pyin Oo Lwin. I want to thank you for coming to my city and for helping so many Burmese people.
I can speak Burmese, Thai, English and Hindi and enjoy using my language abilities to translate the peoples’ stories.
I am surprised that so many people in Myanmar have this problem of cleft lip and cleft palate. Until I came to the missions, (now three in Myanmar), I had not seen this. I love that quick action is taken to fix the cleft problems. I love seeing the hope people have for a new life.
I truly enjoy helping in the interview process for KAFK and look forward to volunteering in the missions to come!
