Sappasitiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province, September 2013

30.11.2013

The hospital of Sappasitiprasong in Eastern Thailand was quite large and crowded, but unlike western hospitals, many of the facilities such as the big waiting rooms were outdoors (under a roof but with no walls or air conditioning). That being said, the operating rooms were extremely clean and the staff were very professional, so the patients were well taken care of.

Kids Action for Kids volunteers were allowed to observe surgeries, some for the first time in their lives, which made a lasting impression on all who were present. The beautiful thing about the medical missions is that when we and our volunteers see the change made right  in front of our eyes, it is not only rewarding but inspiring to keep going and to work even harder with what we do! We are very happy to be able to contribute to changing someone’s lives forever.
